verses specifically saying homosexuality is wrong?

Oh ok, Princess has this book at tafe and it had stuff bout God and homosexuality and vegetarian/vegan stuf

Ok I'll explain it the best I can...

It was a philosophical book and I started to read it because it said stuff about God and homosexuality but its confusing....

The part about homosexuality is from this Christian guy who had a dream and in his dream he had a talk to God about how being homosexual should have you sent to Hell and the entire part God is saying all this stuff to counteract it, so in saying homosexuals shouldnt go to Hell (it talks quite a bit about Leviticus) but then at the end its so stupid because God finally proves his point that homosexuals are allowed into Heaven then just says (this is summarized) that he was just testing the Christian guys faith in the Bible then sends all the homosexual guy to Hell for being homosexual then the last thing God says in the dream is "Ok now for the shrimp eaters" (referring to Leviticus again).

The book is written by a group of philosophers with the whole point of the book proving that God doesn't exist, touching on subjects such as Leviticus (the verses taken out of context, even though Leviticus is iffy anyways), Evolution, Homosexuality and Vegetarian/Vegans.

It is a good book, the way its made and written. It's content is stupid but is put in understandable terms. Not for the weak Christians to read as it may avert their faith.

Heh, yeah, sounds like it. Would be interesting if you can take it from a detatched view. So many wouldn't though.

Do you know that with conviction? Cause that'd be great. To be honest, being bi gets me muddled at times. Though quite honestly, I've done a deal of research on the whole thing, seen many different view points, passages, etc., etc., etc. I'm pretty sure it's not a sin. Heh, if you're willing to take my word for it.

I just found some great verses, which I think you all will enjoy. Should put to rest some fears:

1 Samuel

"And it came to pass, when he had made an end of speaking unto Saul, that the soul of Jonathan was knit with the soul of David, and Jonathan loved him as his own soul. 2 And Saul took him that day, and would let him go no more home to his father's house. 3 Then Jonathan and David made a covenant, because he loved him as his own soul. 4 And Jonathan stripped himself of the robe that was upon him, and gave it to David, and his garments, even to his sword, and to his bow, and to his girdle." 18:1-4

"Jonathan ... delighted much in David." 19:2

So Jonathan made a covenant with the house of David, saying, Let the LORD even require it at the hand of David's enemies. 17 And Jonathan caused David to swear again, because he loved him: for he loved him as he loved his own soul. 1 Samuel 20: 16-17

Then Saul's anger was kindled against Jonathan, and he said unto him, Thou son of the perverse rebellious woman, do not I know that thou hast chosen the son of Jesse to thine own confusion, and unto the confusion of thy mother's nakedness? 31 For as long as the son of Jesse liveth upon the ground, thou shalt not be established, nor thy kingdom. Wherefore now send and fetch him unto me, for he shall surely die.?" 20:30 -31

And as soon as the lad was gone, David arose out of a place toward the south, and fell on his face to the ground, and bowed himself three times: and they kissed one another, and wept one with another, until David exceeded. 42 And Jonathan said to David, Go in peace, forasmuch as we have sworn both of us in the name of the LORD, saying, The LORD be between me and thee, and between my seed and thy seed for ever. And he arose and departed: and Jonathan went into the city. 1 Samuel 20: 41-42

2 Samuel

David says to Jonathan: "very pleasant has thou been unto me: thy love to me was wonderful, passing the love of woman." 1:26

Hey, for a real darn good proof that God OK's gay people, check me out after 53 years, - yet I unfortunately only came out 4-5 years ago!... plus go here and read about David and Johnny Boy! This is the best I have found so far on these two in the Bible.

I think what I see in ALL the pssages in the Bible is this:
Once you abolish the Old Law that NO ONE COULD KEEP, what do you you have left?
LOVE covers a (the) Multitue(s) of SIN."
Jesus' LOVE covered the SINS OF THE WHOLE WORLD OF ALL MANKIND!
If one has love, they are not lusting.
If one is sleeping with someone they love, even the same sex, then, there is no SIN.
Without LOVE and 100% GRACE, ''everything'' is a SIN. See the O.T. Law!
With love NOTHING is a SINFUL.
Jesus REDUCED the whole LAW down to this ONE New LAW.
He said, I give you a NEW LAW ; " Love one another." He DID NOT say HOW. That's left up to the INDIVIDUAL ARTISTS who are painting their own pictures, IN LOVE together.
