I was looking around a forum one time and I happened to come across something that was really interesting to me:
CourtneyCOR
Upon witnessing to my gay friend Jacob, God reminded me of a story I once heard about Gideon in the book of Judges when he asks God to show him whether or not he is supposed to save Israel:
37 look, I will place a wool fleece on the threshing floor. If there is dew only on the fleece and all the ground is dry, then I will know that you will save Israel by my hand, as you said." 38 And that is what happened. Gideon rose early the next day; he squeezed the fleece and wrung out the dew—a bowlful of water.
39 Then Gideon said to God, "Do not be angry with me. Let me make just one more request. Allow me one more test with the fleece. This time make the fleece dry and the ground covered with dew." 40 That night God did so. Only the fleece was dry; all the ground was covered with dew.
I challenged Jacob to "fleece" God. I told him to ask God if He was real, and if He is, to show him in someway. Jacob chose to count the pennies making up a smiley face in his room. He said if I count 48, You're real. He counted 48.
Previously to talking to me, he had had an arguement with our friend Kara about whether or not being gay is against the Bible. He decided to "fleece" God about this, too. He asked three questions: "Are you real? Should I apologize to Kara? Was I wrong? Heads is yes. Tails is no." He flipped the coin three times. First time: heads. Second: heads. Third: tails. I was amused, but then Jacob took it even further. He called his mom into the room and said, "Pick a number and if you count that many pennies, God is real and being gay isn't a sin." She said 47. She went to his bed and counted the pennies. She miscounted one less than Jacob, 47. I was shaking by this time. Even though I know God is real and that being gay is not a sin, it just amazes me to see something like that. Miraculous... |

That's quite interesting.
I like how it says apologize even though he's not wrong. |
