I'm not big on the bible readings, but I have picked up a confusing confliction of occurrences.
Does the bible not say that Jesus died for all sins past/present/future?
And then again, that no-one would go to hell because he paid the price?
And Pope John Paul 2nd stated that hell didn't exist as the catholic church believed until that point.
And yet people still worry about sinning/seeking forgiveness? Even though there is no price to pay, and your sins have been accounted for?
=/
I have no idea, if thats even right. It just always confused me.
So I would like an answer to this if someone has it and feel free to post other occurrences of confusion. |

Well, we know there are passages that speak off Hell. There are specific passages from Christ Himself that talk of Hell, so I take it Hell does exist. However, as for the forgiveness thing, like all parts of the bible, you'll get different opinions. I've always tooken it as the sins of the people of that time were forgiven. Others take it as forgiveness for all people. Without the specific verse, I can't readily say. And make sure not to take the passage entirely literally so quickly. Christ said turn the other cheek, but I don't believe he meant that at all points of violence let yourself get mowed down. The bible gets really difficult to get one belief out of it because people always look at different parts and whatnot in different ways. Best to do your own reseach into it and draw your own conclusions. Though if you get the passage, let me know. |

ive actually questioned that myself aswell matt about already being forgiven for everthing. i think that we are forgiven but i also think we should still ask 4 it. i dont know why but it just seemd like the right thing to do. |

Makes logical sense because it's recognizing we made the mistake in the first place, at least to me. Also, if we committed the sin, we ought to be asking for God, not God worrying about it. He didn't committ it, in my mind. |

I see it as the same as if you steal a chocolate cookie your mums not going to e like "i hate you rahh" she'll already have forgiven you but she likes it if you say your sorry anyways... |
